It ended with a bang....

A few bangs really.  We drove to Whitehorse to escape the smoke and fires of Dawson City.  Took a day trip to Skagway, which was nice.  Then on to Kluane Park.  We spent the day rafting on the Tatshenshini River which was a blast.  I should be getting the CD that was taken of the trip when my group gets back to Holland.  I will post the pix when I can.  The second day in Kluane I sent the group up hiking while I stayed at camp to clean the gear.  Only tw hours into their hike someone came back and told me that one of the pax had fallen and broken her wrist.  I pulled everything out of my backpack and loaded my first aid kit into it and started hiking up.  She had infact broken her wrist which I splinted and then drove her to Haines Junction where there is a nursing station.  She ended up having to be transferred to Whitehorse for a cast.  I had asked my returning group to clean up camp for me while we were gone as we were heading from Kathleen Lake to Burwash Landing that evening to camp.  Well, after the rafting trip I ended up putting all my wet gear in a garbage bag and left it in my backpack.  When I went out on the call, I had unloaded it and left it at the back of the van.  It was then thrown out by my group.  By the time I got back and looked in the garbage, it had been emptied.  over $100 of stuff.  Kayak shorts, fleece, wool socks... oh well, live and learn.
So I am in Anchorage again.  Getting ready for my next group that arrives Wed.  As it turns out I will be spending the whole summer here and not coming back early as I had reported a few days ago.  The last tour of the season is a go ahead.  I should be home mid sept.
Anyway, Ill write again from Denali.
Cheers.
